E.C.M.C. (Educational Coalition for Monroe County)
E.C.M.C., a non profit student advocacy group founded in 1996, E.C.M is best known for its C.A.M.P. (Cultural American Multi-Disciplinary Program). This program has gained a large summer enrollment and provides transportation for students who require it. C.A.M.P. offers its students world-class Intensive Musical Instruction, Culinary Arts, Ballet, Theater, Ballroom Dancing, Art, Stomp, Film Making and much more at a fraction of the actual cost.

Treasure Village Montessori Charter School was established on the foundation of the Montessori Island School, a private Montessori elementary program which was established in 1996. This program bases its curriculum on the philosophies of Dr. Maria Montessori, as does the current charter program. A group of parents and key community members organized and wrote a charter in 1998, enabling residents of the Upper Keys the ability to attend an elementary Montessori school free from tuition and transportation constraints. Treasure Village Montessori also provides free and reduced lunch, as well as many other resources, to students through the public school system in a private school setting. Treasure Village Montessori services kindergarten through 6th grade students.
